About the position

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of RF scanners, RFID readers/tags, industrial printers, and print-and-apply machines.
  • Support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist with RFID technology integration into warehouse and material handling systems, ensuring accurate tracking and identification of goods.
  • Support Linux/Unix server configuration and monitoring for device connectivity and system operations.
  • Assist with network configuration, including IP addressing, VLANs, and device connectivity for scanners, RFID readers, and automation systems.
  • Basic Application and support NAC (Network Access Control) policies to manage device security and connectivity.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, applying best practices in securing devices and systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime of scanning, printing, RFID, and conveyor systems.
  • Provide technical assistance during installation, commissioning, and optimization of automation and material handling solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment configurations, network settings, RFID system mappings, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, IT teams, and operations staff to ensure reliability and performance of automation systems.

About The Employer:

Qualifications and Skills




- National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical,Electronics, Automation, or IT Engineering.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in mechatronics, automation, or IT/technical support (internship/graduate program advantageous).
- Basic knowledge of RF scanners, RFID technology, printers, and labeling systems.
- Valid drivers license - Essential
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix server administration.
- Understanding of network fundamentals (IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, TCP/IP).
- Exposure to NAC (Network Access Control) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems advantageous.
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a multidisciplinary environment.
