About the position
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Application Support Engineer to join their Business Process Management team. This role is ideal for a systems-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting, process improvement, systems administration, and supporting business-critical applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising operational processes, supporting integration projects, and ensuring the effective performance of business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of business applications and system settings
- Support system security, user access management, and governance controls
- Assist with operational and management reporting requirements
- Coordinate user training sessions and support system adoption initiatives
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system-based improvements
- Develop solutions to bridge operational and system gaps using analytical and technical approaches
- Document business processes, procedures, and user guides
- Manage and coordinate application support and helpdesk activities
- Assist with integration projects, application upgrades, testing, and automation initiatives
- Support ad hoc reporting and operational requests as required
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- CargoWise Specialist Certification (essential)
- CargoWise Professional Certification (advantageous)
- Tertiary qualification and industry experience highly advantageous
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong understanding of operational processes and systems administration
