Accounts & Indirect Procurement Specialist

About the position

Our client within the manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Accounts & Indirect Procurement Specialist. 

Key Responsibilities

Indirect Procurement (Core Focus)

• Manage the end-to-end procurement of indirect goods and services (e.g. maintenance, office supplies, services, utilities)
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with procurement policies
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements to drive cost savings
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Ensure all vendor data and changes are accurately maintained on internal systems
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and delivery
• Maintain procurement trackers and ensure compliance with internal procedures

Accounts Payable & Financial Support

• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate, timely payments
• Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage GR/IR and one-time payments
• Maintain accurate financial records related to procurement activities

Inventory & Coordination

• Monitor indirect inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of goods and services

Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to financial and procurement policies
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to indirect spend
• Prepare procurement reports and identify cost-saving opportunities

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience with SAP/S4 or similar ERP systems is advantageous
• Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
