About the position
DBN000226 – Accountant - Limpopo Remote
Purpose of the job:
To assist with all farm finance operations & report to the Head Office for activities across multi country operations.
Required Qualifications
- BCom Accounting Degree or Diploma
- 3- 5 years in accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel & accounting knowledge
- SAGE 200/Evolution Experience – Advantageous
- Multi-entitty or multi-country experience in Agriculture or similar.
- Ability to successfully work virtually – with monthly travel to site in Limpopo
Technical Competencies and responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Preparing management accounts and reporting packs with variance analysis
- Maintaining of ledger, post journals and perform month-end/year end close
- Manage creditor’s and debtor’s transactions and reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and regulations
- Oversee bank transactions and reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation
