Accountant

About the position

A Well established company in the East Rand is seeking an Accountant to join their team
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
• 3-5 years accounting experience 
• Strong proficiency in Pastel Partner 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain general ledger entries using Pastel Partner
• Prepare monthly trial balances along with necessary supporting documentation
• Reconcile bank, debtor, creditor and inventory accounts.
• Conduct and review reconciliations for all accounts on the balance sheet
• Handle VAT calculations and other statutory financial requirements
• Assist in preparing for year-end audits and coordinate with auditors
• Work collaboratively with the Administration Manager to ensure efficient integration of operational data into accounting systems
• Produce ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed
