They are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accountant / All-Rounder to join their team in Germiston. This is a broad, hands-on role that combines finance, administration, stock control, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, coordinating sales and logistics processes, and supporting overall business operations. Responsibilities:
Financial Administration & Accounting
- Process daily bank transactions and perform bank capturing and reconciliations.
- Manage daily payments and ensure accurate cashflow administration.
- Prepare and process invoices on Pastel.
- Complete monthly creditors reconciliations.
- Perform month-end trial balance reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Prepare management reports and maintain expense reporting tools.
- Process VAT submissions and payments.
- Prepare salary inputs, verify payroll information, process salary payments, and post salary journals.
- Prepare and process EMP201 payments.
- Manage invoice discounting processes and supporting documentation.
Sales & Logistics Coordination
- Receive and process customer purchase orders.
- Coordinate product quantities, delivery dates, and delivery time slots.
- Liaise with third-party warehousing providers regarding stock verification.
- Arrange collection bookings and request Goods Issued Notes (GI Notes).
- Confirm driver and transport details for collections and deliveries.
- Ensure delivery time slots are scheduled and communicated effectively.
- Verify batch selections and ensure supporting documentation is accurate.
- Prepare sales orders and confirm all documentation aligns with original batch selections.
- Prepare and process pallet transfer documentation.
- Obtain proof of delivery and ensure signed and stamped documentation is received and filed appropriately.
Stock Control & Manufacturing Administration
- Process stock manufacturing transactions on Pastel.
- Verify Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Capture manufacturing information, including overages, shortages, and waste quantities.
- Support month-end stock-take processes, reconciliations, and investigations.
- Assist with stock reporting and inventory control processes.
- Manage co-packing recoveries and related documentation.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial and operational records.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete, organised, and audit-ready.
- Support business reporting requirements and provide administrative assistance where required.

- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Pastel accounting software is essential.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, VAT, and payroll administration.
- Experience with stock control, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating logistics, sales administration, or supply chain activities would be beneficial.
